H I GREEN

Curriculum Vitae

Biography

H.I. Green is a mixed media painter and printmaker from Madison, Mississippi. A 2021 Millsaps graduate, Green works with a variety of mediums—namely cyanotype and acrylic paint. Throughout their work they explore childhood memories, nature, identity, community, and the Black religious South. They use their artwork like a journal: recording, recreating, and processing their experiences and stories through surrealistic imagery. Previously, Green served as the Post-Baccalaureate Fellow in Education at the Mississippi Museum of Art and is currently attending the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore for their Masters in Fine Arts.
